NYC Graphic Design
Graphic Design With Senior Attention.
Design for New York businesses that has to work in the real world: on a storefront, inside a sales meeting, across packaging, in print, and on screen.
01 The case
Logo and Identity Design
A logo is the most-tested piece of design in your business. It appears on every email signature, every business card, every piece of packaging, every social media profile, every website. A logo that does not work at small sizes, does not reproduce in single-color print, or does not hold up against the visual noise of the NYC environment will cost you credibility every time it appears. We approach logo design as a system problem: how does this mark work at 16 pixels in a browser tab, at 4 inches on a print brochure, at 30 feet on a storefront sign, in single color on a UPS label, on a phone screen, on a billboard. The output is a logo and a usage system that holds up across every place your business actually shows up.
Packaging Design
Packaging is the most challenging discipline in graphic design because it has to work at three different scales simultaneously: at six feet on a shelf where it competes for attention against neighbors, at one foot in a customer hand where the typography has to be legible and the message has to land, and in the photograph that someone takes for Instagram where the brand has to read instantly. We design packaging that solves all three at once. Our portfolio includes work for nationally distributed beverage brands you will recognize, alongside packaging for smaller NYC food, beauty, and consumer goods operators. We handle dieline construction, regulatory copy, color separation, and press readiness as part of the design process, not as an afterthought.
Print Collateral That Salespeople Actually Use
Brochures, catalogs, sales sheets, pitch decks, lookbooks. The challenge with print collateral is that it has to be useful in a sales conversation, not just look good in a portfolio. Most agency-built collateral is gorgeous and unusable: too long, too hero-image-heavy, too short on the actual content a prospect needs to make a buying decision. We design print collateral by interviewing the salespeople who will use it, understanding the questions they get asked in real conversations, and structuring the design around answering those questions in the order they come up. The output is collateral that gets used instead of left in the marketing folder.
Signage and Environmental Graphics
NYC retail and hospitality lives or dies by signage. The storefront sign that gets noticed from across the street, the awning typography that reads from the sidewalk, the wayfinding that helps a customer find your back-room event space, the window vinyl that converts walk-bys into walk-ins. We design signage that works at the scales it actually appears at, with materials and production specs that hold up to NYC weather and foot-traffic abuse. We work with vetted NYC fabricators on production, or we hand off press-ready files for your existing fabricator relationships.
Pitch Decks, Presentations, and Investor Materials
NYC professional services and venture-backed companies regularly need pitch decks and investor presentations that are fundamentally different from a marketing brochure. The audience is sophisticated, the time is short, and the design has to support the argument rather than distract from it. We design decks that respect the substance of what is being communicated, with typographic hierarchy that guides the read, data visualization that makes complex numbers immediately legible, and visual restraint that lets the content breathe. Our work has been used in funding rounds, board meetings, and enterprise sales conversations across multiple industries.
Print Production With One Accountable Team
Design is half the work. Print production is the other half. Color matching across substrates, paper weight and finish selection, bleed and trim management, proofing rounds, color drift between digital proof and final press run. We have 32 years of relationships with vetted print vendors that produce consistent quality at fair prices, and we manage production end-to-end if you want us to. NYC clients often start by handling their own production and then hire us to manage it after the third headache.
02 Common questions
- What kinds of graphic design projects do you take on?
- Logo and identity design, packaging design, print collateral (brochures, catalogs, sales sheets, lookbooks), signage and environmental graphics, presentation and pitch deck design, trade show graphics, magazine and editorial layout, product labels, menus and hospitality print, and direct mail. If it requires a designer's eye and a printer's brain, we have done it.
- What determines the cost of a graphic design project?
- Project cost depends on scope, complexity, production needs, and timeline. We provide a clear proposal after discovery, with direct access to the senior people responsible for the work.
- Do you handle print production or just design?
- Both. We have a 32-year relationship with vetted print vendors that delivers consistent quality at fair prices. We can hand off print-ready files for you to produce locally, or we can manage the entire print run including paper sourcing, color matching, proofing, and delivery. NYC clients often appreciate having one partner handle both because it eliminates the design-to-print handoff issues that cost money and time.
- Can you match an existing brand identity, or do we need to start fresh?
- Both work. If you have an established brand identity (typography, color, photography style, logo lockups), we work within those rules. If your existing identity is loose or inconsistent, we will tell you honestly whether the project would benefit from tightening the system before producing new collateral. Most NYC growing businesses we work with start with a small project and expand once they see the working relationship.
- Are you set up to work with NYC clients remotely?
- Yes. Most graphic design projects happen entirely through email, Figma, and video calls. We come into the city for press checks or production review when needed. NYC clients rarely need to visit our studio in Larchmont, though they are welcome.
