04 What we’ve learned
Most websites fail at the basics. They load slowly, bury what the business actually does, and make contacting someone feel like work. Ours are hand-coded static sites because that is what stays fast, stays up, and stays secure without a plugin stack to babysit. No page builder bloat, nothing to patch every month, nothing to break while you sleep.
Redesigns get special care, because we have seen what a careless rebuild costs. Rankings a business spent years earning can vanish in a launch weekend when URLs change and nobody maps the old pages to the new. Our redesigns start with an audit of what your current site has earned, and the build preserves it: addresses, titles, and the content Google already trusts. 05 Common questions
- What does a website cost?
- It depends on what the site needs to do, and we will tell you plainly after one conversation. The number is fixed before we start. If you want our read on your current site first, the free website audit is exactly that.
- How long does a build take?
- The honest answer: it is usually paced by content, not code. Sites stall waiting on the words and photos, so we plan those from day one. We set the schedule at kickoff and keep you posted against it every week.
- Can we update the site ourselves?
- If you want to, yes. We integrate a CMS only when you actually need one, wire up analytics, and walk your team through everything at handoff. Plenty of clients prefer that we handle updates instead. Either way works.
- Do you build e-commerce sites?
- Yes. Lor Ainé 1986 in our portfolio is a Shopify build, and several of our sites ship with iPilot, our AI assistant, working inside them. If you sell online, we design the store and the systems behind it.
- What happens to our Google rankings during a redesign?
- They survive, because we plan for them. Every existing page is mapped, redirects are in place at launch, and the titles and content Google already ranks are preserved or improved. Protecting your SEO equity is a launch requirement, not an afterthought.
