NYC Branding Agency

Senior Brand Strategy. No Layers Between Us.

Brand identity for Manhattan and Brooklyn businesses, led by senior people who remain involved from the first strategic conversation through final delivery.

01 The case

Senior Work, From the People You Meet

Strong brand identity work comes from rigorous strategy, a distinctive visual system, disciplined typography, purposeful photography, and guidelines that hold up across real business use. Our team has spent more than three decades doing that work for nationally recognized brands and growing New York businesses. The quality comes from the experience and attention of the people doing the work, not the zip code on the invoice.

An Intentionally Senior, Efficient Model

iDesign is intentionally structured as a small, senior team. The people who lead the conversation also stay close to the strategy, design, and delivery. That reduces layers, speeds decisions, and keeps the investment focused on experienced thinking and execution.

Brand Strategy Before Brand Design

A logo by itself is decoration. Brand identity that actually moves a business comes out of clear strategy: who is the customer, what does the customer believe before they encounter you, what do you need them to believe after, and what visual and verbal cues will get them there. We start every NYC project with a discovery process that gets to the strategic core before we open Figma. For a Brooklyn restaurant chain, this might mean defining who you are competing with for the Saturday-night-dinner-decision moment. For a Manhattan B2B services firm, it might mean clarifying why a procurement team should put you on the shortlist instead of the larger, better-known competitor. The brand design comes out of those answers, not the other way around.

Logo, Visual System, and the Things That Compound

Your logo is one piece of a brand identity, not the whole thing. The pieces that actually compound over time are the visual system: the typography rules, the color palette, the photography direction, the iconography vocabulary, the spacing logic, the way headlines stack on a deck slide versus a website hero versus a billboard. We deliver brand systems that work at every scale and across every medium your business uses, with a brand guidelines document that lets your future hires, vendors, and freelancers maintain consistency without us in the loop. NYC operators who scale faster than they expected appreciate having this in place before the chaos hits.

Industries We Have Built Brands For

Our portfolio includes restaurant and hospitality brands, beverage and spirits brands, professional services firms, retail and e-commerce operators, healthcare practices, real estate firms, construction and trades, nonprofits, and creative agencies. NYC has a particular density of restaurants, retail, professional services, and creative-adjacent businesses, and we have substantial experience across all of those. If your industry is on the niche side, we will tell you honestly during the first call whether we have relevant pattern recognition or whether you would be better served by an agency that specializes in your space.

What the Working Relationship Looks Like

Most NYC clients meet with us via video call for the discovery and strategy phases, with one or two in-person sessions either at our studio in Larchmont (a 30-minute Metro-North ride from Grand Central) or at their NYC office. Production work happens through shared Figma files, Dropbox folders, and Slack channels. We respond same-day to client communication, and we do not run a layered account-management structure where the senior person who pitched the work disappears once the project starts. The senior people you meet at the beginning remain involved through delivery and follow-up. NYC clients consistently tell us this is the most refreshing thing about working with us after years with Manhattan agencies.

02 Common questions

Are you actually based in NYC?
No, and that is the point. Our studio is in Larchmont, NY, 30 minutes from Grand Central by Metro-North. NYC clients work with us through Zoom, email, and in-person meetings either at our studio or at theirs. Our Larchmont studio allows us to stay intentionally small, senior-led, and directly involved in the work.
What determines the cost of a branding project?
Manhattan brand identity packages typically run $25,000 to $150,000 or more. Cost depends on scope, complexity, production needs, and timeline. After discovery, we provide a clear proposal and direct access to the senior people responsible for the work.
Have you worked with NYC clients before?
Yes. Our portfolio includes design work for nationally distributed brands with major NYC presence (Casamigos, Jägermeister) as well as small and mid-sized NYC operators. We can share specific case studies relevant to your industry on a discovery call.
Can you handle our branding without us coming to Larchmont?
Yes. The vast majority of our NYC client work happens through video calls, email, shared Figma boards, and Slack. We come into the city for kickoff meetings, photography days, or production review when it matters. The studio in Larchmont is for our team, not a requirement for yours.
How long does a full branding project take?
A complete brand identity (strategy, logo, visual system, guidelines, application across key materials) typically runs 6 to 10 weeks. A logo-only project runs 3 to 5 weeks. A brand refresh of an existing identity runs 4 to 6 weeks. NYC timelines are the same as our Westchester timelines.
